James Kradphej is an illustrator based in Sydney, Australia.
He primarily works in digital because it’s easier to clean. But has been known to dabble in traditional painting, sculpting, and a whole load of other mediums, digital and traditional. He did go to art school after all. And also design school for a bit, FYI.
In his spare time, he likes to learn new ways to make either interesting and/or ugly, things. He also currently works as a chef full-time. as he likes to keep busy, has a very curious nature, and doesn’t like to sleep.
James finds inspiration mainly from music, his love of movies, cartoons and the one time he followed comic book artist Joe Madureira’s career from Uncanny X-men #334 all the way through to his ill-fated run on Battlechasers. Nine Inch Nails or TOOL is usually playing in the background whenever he is drawing, but how that has yet to be incorporated into his works is still as of yet, unknown.
James is always on the lookout for fun and cool projects, but so far he is not savvy enough to get full-time illustration work. This only allows him more free time to work on his personal projects. And cook. And hang out with his wife and two girls, Lilah and Macy, and the pug, Luigi.
